Itentifying as a victim in our currennt environment grants to the victim (if it is ligitimised) the right to do, say and demand almost anything. Violence is justiified, desctruction of people's character and indeed livelihoods, dismantling of businesses, fines, imprisonment etc.

Sometimes the Oppressor - Victim - Rescuer triangle is applied to non people, like animals, the environment, Universities, an employer or company and cultures.
The environment for example is the victim of western civilisation's lifestyle and so environmentalists, climate scientists etc are the rescuers, advocating for the poor helpless victim. Rescuers can become oppressive to the victim by infatalising them and keeping them helpless to maintain that position of power. Rescuers can be very manipulative.

This element can be seen as part of 'Woke' marxism (an amalgamation of postmodernism and Marxism) and the cultural marxists.
